Description

This new product from Montana’s new Effect range is a high-covering spray paint, which can be used to create a crackle-look for vintage or aged like effects.

  • Montana Crackle can be used on many different surfaces such as paper, cardboard, primed canvas, wood, glass, metal, ceramics, porcelain, stone, acrylic and other paintable materials.
  • The desired surface must be completely dry and suitably prepared with a primer or spray paint.
  • Once thoroughly dry, this product can also be top-coated with conventional spray paint colour or finished with a protective varnish.
  • It can also be used in conjunction with spray paint, conventional acrylic colour or markers.

Available in 6 colours; Copper Brown, Gentian Blue, Patina Green, Squirrel Grey, Pure White and Traffic Black.

We'll then send you a free returns label or organise a collection, free of charge as long as it is in a resellable condition and within 14 days.

Q Hi, Does the crackle effect work over the Montana M3000 goldchrome paint? Thanks, Chris

The colours may not stand out as clearly over a metallic surface but it will still apply to the surface.

Q Hi, how many coats of paint does the crackle effect go through? For example could you use a base colour and then a top colour so the crackle effect only effects the top? Or will it go down to the primer/ material? Thanks

This paint acts like any other spray paint, and is used by layering it on top of another colour or surface. Once the cracks form they will show whichever colour is underneath and will not literally crack the layers underneath it. Therefore you'll only be able to see the colour that is layered immediately beneath the crackle spray, and will not show the primer or actual material.
