A response to the greatest needs of every artist, the Caran D'ache Pastel pencil range is designed to suit the technical and colour requirements of both amateur and professional pastel artists. Pastel pencils are a convenient, less messy alternative to traditional soft & oil pastels. The cedar wood case sheathes a robust 4.7mm lead consisting of ultra-fine, water-soluble pigment that offers exceptional lightfastness.
Use with Pastel paper and grainy paper media to reveal the strength of the pigments and beauty of the pencils.
Best sharpened with a blade rather than a standard pencil sharpener, and the colour laydown can be stabilised using fixative.
Developed in close collaboration with master pastel artists and proudly made in Switzerland.
