Mi-Teintes® Velvet paper features a unique velvet surface that makes it excellent for pastel work. It effectively holds multiple layers of pigment, preventing saturation effects. The paper's texture retains pigments well, eliminating the need for fixatives. It is perfect for soft and dry pastels, and can even be used with pencils when precision is needed. Compared to sanded paper, Mi-Teintes® Velvet is less abrasive, reducing pigment usage. It is also resistant to wet techniques, making it suitable for applying a base with paint.
