17th April 2018 Reviewed by Marion Ward These water brushes are handy to slip into a bag with my watercolour pencils. Used with care I find I can control the amount of water being released from the water reservoir onto the paper. I have used them before and this set is for my 8 year old grandson who loves to “colour in”.

15th June 2016 Reviewed by Ethan Changing from the pentel pocket brush, there's a definite change. The water flow system, like many has said, is quite sensitive but that in my opinion is better than treating your brush like a toothpaste tube! My main interest was the fibre, the smallest brush, which is a complete change from standard brushes. It's almost like a felt tip nib, very absorbent and tough which can be hard to get used to. Instead of brush strokes you have a more graphic line which is difficult to blend and if overworked can tear and wear your paper, so as an actual brush, it's not amazing, but if you look at it as a different medium it has some great advantages. Strong detail is definite the fibres forte and for someone who wants to create more graphic imagery it's great. I'd advise getting one just to see how it affects you and how you paint, but if you're looking for a brush, this isn't it. The others in the set though work just as you'd expect, so as an extra tool the fibre is an innovative idea. Overall a great set of brushes, a step up from what is currently available and hopefully there'll be many more advancements on these great products! Buy without question :]
