Q&A (2)
Q Hi, i want to make a latex mask, if i coated this stuff on a man-akin head would it peal of easy 2 be used as a mask ?
A

The Gedeo latex would be suitable for painting onto a mannequin, although its worth taking into account that it is quite runny so it would take a long time to build up enough layers so when you peeled it off it wouldn't tear.

It would probably be easier to make a mould of the mannequin face using clay and plaster and then paint the inside of the mould with the latex. This would mean the latex wouldn't run off and would make it easier to buiold up a thick latex mask.

Q Hi, Do you also sell the gauze that strengthens the latex mould? Also I intend to take casts of some decorative panelling in my house, which plaster would be best for this? Thankyou.
A

Hello Alex,

I'm afraid we do not sell gauze for strengthening latex but this can be bought from most good Pharmacys. For taking casts of decorative panelling, I would reccommend Alginate, which can pick up very intricate detailing or Siligum, which is a very 'mess-free' option for making moulds of intricate detailing.

I hope that helps.

Kind Regards,

Laura
