Exhibition: Wild Things by Cara Fraser
19th Jun 2026
Wild Things features a culmination of work by artist Cara Fraser. After reading about the Extinction Crisis and studying environmental design modules at art school, it became clear that something needed to be done in answer to the catastrophic impact that humanity was having on different species. The work in this exhibition looks to draw attention to the rapid loss of species - “Wild Things” - and to highlight the IUCN Red List of Endangered Species. The work focuses on the beauty of nature, depicting various animals and plant species, highlighting how vast and tangible the species crisis is. The exhibition includes a combination of fine art pieces, drawings and printed textiles.
Cara Fraser is a practising Artist and Textile Designer based in Central Scotland. Graduating from Edinburgh College of Art in 2020 with an MFA in Textiles, her work often involves illustrative depictions of the natural world. After growing up in the Trossachs, a lot of her work takes inspiration from wildlife, with the aim of inspiring the onlooker to see the beauty in nature and connect to the various subjects. Cara spends a lot of time drawing and painting plein air, sketching various subjects such as landscapes or animals at Zoos. At the heart of all her work are social issues such as species loss and conservation. carafraserdesigns.com
