Origami Workshop

Origami Workshop

17th Jul 2025

Origami is the traditional Japanese art of transforming a single, typically square, sheet of paper into a sculpture through folding and sculpting, without using cuts or glue. In this workshop you will learn how to fold your own origami. There will be different models per session, all beginner friendly. Origami is very calming, perfect for those looking for mindfulness activities or those who want to work on their patience.

With a background in fine arts, Emyl Marton studied illustration at the Arts University of Bournemouth. He has been introduced to Japanese culture from a young age and has been an origami hobbyist and enthusiast for more than a decade now. His preferred type of origami to fold are kusudamas, also known as modular origami. They are decorative structures made of several sheets of paper instead of one.
