Everyone knows that the creative industry is a wide world with a lot of competition. Are you graduating this summer and unsure of what to do next? Or maybe you graduated a year ago and you're back from your travels and after that perfect job. Perhaps you're looking for a career change into the creative industry and your student years are long behind you.
Whatever the case, it can be hard to know where to start, but don't worry - Cass Art has got your back with Free Thinking. our programme of motivational talks this summer. Returning for a second year, Free Thinking aims to inspire, motivate and engage art-enthusiasts and recent graduates to pursue their creative careers.
Part of Free Range 2015, a series of art and design degree shows at the Old Truman Brewery, Free Thinking has been curated by Cass Art and showcases a series of talks featuring leading art industry experts and Try Me Tables where innovative new art materials can be explored.
Check out the full itinerary below, with a handy key so you can identify exactly which talks will be useful for you.
PLEASE NOTE that Propercorn will now be speaking at 11am on Monday 6th July, in Week Two.
Free Thinking will be running from 26th June to 6th July, and admission is free.
The fortnight of specialist talks and panel discussions will include insight from leading arts organisations, businesses and artists, including Widen + Kennedy, The Dots, Parker Harris and Lee Crutchley. Free Thinking aims to help art graduates and other creatives take that step from student to professional, by arming themselves with the knowledge they need to make that happen. It isn't specific to art students and anyone who is interested is welcome to attend.
