Character Painting and Composition 101
24th Jan 2026
In this two-day workshop, over the weekend students will cover how to go about approaching miniature painting from a display painters perspective, including how to get the most out of your characters, and creating striking pieces that look right at home alongside other art forms. The class will cover everything from conceptualising pieces and characters, planning, rendering different materials (such as skin tones, hard materials and hair), the impact of lighting and refinement techniques.
Having been a keen painter for many years, Aaron has picked up various awards for their work, along with working as a professional Miniature Painter and Tutor. Having taught and competed around the world, Aaron has picked up a wide range of skills and has become known for a distinctly saturated and technical approach to miniatures.
