Description

Developed by the clever men in white coats at Daler-Rowney, Goldfinger Metallic Paste is a unique product that brings a rich lustre to an array of finishes at the touch of a finger.

  • It’s perfect for gilding picture frames, of course, but you can think far beyond that to plaster, clay or wood, plastics and textiles including leather, and it’s equally effective for the hands-on approach to stenciling, cards and all sorts of decoration.
  • Applied with a soft cloth or finger, or with a brush when thinned (use white spirit or turpentine), Daler-Rowney Goldfinger Metallic Paste is smooth and smear-free, and remarkably long-lasting.
  • Full marks for the name, too.

Our Hampstead shop stock the Antique Gold and Sovereign Gold colours of the Goldfinger Metallic Paste. We recommend calling the shop before you go to check they ahve the colour you are looking for in stock. 

Q Is this product weatherproof? I'm considering using it on engraved stone to show up the lettering. I assume this would be easier than real gold leaf.

No, this paste isn't weatherproof. To preserve the lustre, you should use a protective varnish on top.

Q Hi I am going to use this silver paste for mdf panelling in my bathroom. As I need to paint under it I would like to know if it is water or oil based? Thank you
