Lefranc and Bourgeois Flashe Vinyl Emulsion Paint is an extra-fine quality vinyl-based paint, characterised by its matt properties and intense coverage. Flashe paint is made from a unique resin compared to traditional acrylics. This allows the intensity of the pigments and luminosity of the colours to be unleashed while drying perfectly flat without brushstrokes leaving a smooth velvety finish that doesn’t look at all plasticky.
Flashe Vinyl paint combines the mattness and opacity of gouache, with the permanence and durability of acrylics. It has a silky, extra-fine texture with highly concentrated pigments selected for their high degree of purity and resistance to light. Flashe paint is composed of a binder based on vinyl resin in emulsion, allowing for dilution with water and no colour shift from wet to dry.
Supple and fluid with great coverage, Flashe paint can be used as an undercoat for oil or acrylic paints for large formats and flat areas. The same quantity of Flashe can cover a surface 5 times larger than a classic acrylic paint.
Since 1720 Lefranc Bourgeois' mission has been to pass on its expertise to make art accessible to all, from childhood to adulthood, for students as well as for amateurs and professionals. It has always accompanied artists in their creativity and their desire for novelty, a pioneering and inventive state of mind perpetually turned towards the future.
