Liquitex Professional Bio-Based Heavy Acrylic is the future for acrylic paint. It is made from an average of 50% bio-based ingredients, providing the ultimate product performance as expected from Liquitex, the leading brand in acrylics, while being better for the planet.
What’s changed? Typically, acrylic paints and mediums have a resin base made from 100% petrol-based acrylic. Liquitex Bio-Based has cut this in half, replacing these ingredients with ones from renewable, biological sources. In addition to the resin, every other ingredient that has a bio-based alternative has been replaced, and Liquitex has avoided any components or pigments derived from animals.
This set serves as a perfect introduction to the colour capabilities of the Bio-Based range. It includes 4 popular, virbant series 1 colours.
- Recyclable pot & cap, 100% recycled plastic pot - This allows you to use all your paint & makes it easier to clean and recycled once you've used all the colour.
- They are easy to handle, vibrant, long-lasting, mix well and dry fast.
- Thick buttery consistency, behaves and acts very similar to Heavy Body Acrylic.
- The Bio-Based range has gone through the same lightfast & archival testing as the rest of the Liquitex acrylic range.
- High pigment load.
- Can be thinned with water.
- Developed to not have any components or pigments derived from animals which is why the Ivory Black is not in the range.
- The pigments are the same vs the Liquitex professional acrylic range, only the binder is different.
