The canvases are broken down into two different ranges: Professional and Classic. Identified by the Dark Grey or Light Grey packaging, all are hand-stretched and made from only the finest quality materials, offering artists the choice of breadth of qualities to suit any price range.

THE PROFESSIONAL RANGE

Developed by Professional artists, the Winsor & Newton Professional Canvas range offers you the ultimate control over your surface. Hand-stretched and finished with highly pigmented gesso, each canvas has everything the professional artist needs to start painting with confidence.

These canvases are made by hand and have a 16.9oz/480gsm weight. All frames are kiln dried and warp resistant, for durability that will stand the test of time. Each canvas is also archival and acid free.

You can use all types of media on these canvases, including oil, acrylic and other mixed media applications.

The Winsor & Newton ProStretcher

The newest tool from Winsor & Newton allows the ultimate control over the surface tension of your canvas. Included with any Professional Canvas, the ProStretcher is easy to use and allows you to gradually tighten the unique devise to your desired taughtness, unlike wooden adjustments.

THE CLASSIC RANGE

Inspired by artists, the Winsor & Newton Classic Canvas range is a high quality range with visibly improved specification in every detail.

Hand-stretched and finished with highly pigmented primer, each canvas has everything you need to start painting with confidence.

These canvases are made by hand and have a 12.3oz/350gsm weight. All frames are kiln dried and warp resistant, for strength and durability that will stand the test of time. Each canvas is also archival and acid free.

You can use all types of media on these canvases, including acrylic, oil and other mixed media applications.

Classic Linen

• Strong and durable, the longevity of linen allows for long lasting paintings–Linen retains its natural oils, helping preserve the fibre’s flexibility, stopping the canvas from going brittle
• Fitted with spruce wood
• Hand-stretched for best tension and tailored corners
• Primed with highly pigmented gesso, allowing for exceptional coverage
