Holbein Artists' Watercolour is a professional watercolour range made in Japan using the finest pigments and gum arabic with a European-style in mind.
Dedicated to excellence, they are produced without synthetic polymers or ox-gall, which affords the artist greater control in the dispersal of the pigments, enhancing colour handling qualities, and delivers colour of unequalled intensity, purity and reliability for brilliant transparent washes.
The range has a consistent rich creamy texture, which can be instantly rewetted and used like a pan colour.
Once dry, simply fill the wells of a suitable palette with the desired colour selection, then wet the colour when needed.
Holbein Watercolour preserves the brush handling qualities inherent in traditional Japanese watercolour techniques.
Excellent lightfastness with minimal fading.
