Winsor & Newton Artisan Water Mixable Linseed Oil medium reduces the consistency and improves flow of Winsor & Newton Artisan oil colours as well as increases the gloss and transparency of the Artisan colours. It is also the main binder in the Artisan colours and when mixed with colour, it reduces their consistency. It is combined with water or the Artisian Thinner to maintain the foundation of the paint film.
