Description

The Jakar Aluminium Alloy Hobby Knife is perfect when you need to precision-cut lightweight materials such as paper, plastic, balsawood, film, cloth and foil.

  • You'll find that the handle is slightly thicker than most hobby knives, making it stronger and heavier; the blade is larger too, for slightly heavier-duty cutting.
  • The knife is made from a durable aluminium alloy, with a textured finger grip to make it comfortable to hold and easy to control.

It comes with a plastic cap to protect both you and the blade when it's not in use.

Q&A (2)
Q Which Jakar blades fit this knife?
A

The Jakar Hobby Knife Blades for 7333 and 7338 pack of 5 fit the Aluminium Alloy Cutting Knife.

Q Please advise whether the Jakar Cutting Knife is suitable for sharpening the point of inktense watercolour pencils. We find pencil sharpeners do give a sharp point. We have tried various pencil sharpeners, most of which do not perform well.
A

As it has a textured finger grip to make it easy to contro, it would make a suitable object to sharpen your waterpencils.

23rd March 2021 Reviewed by Beth Garrett I use this craft ** for paper cutting. It would have been good to have some spare blades with the purchase but you have to buy them separately. Due to the intricate nature of my cutting I'm looking for a thinner and sharper blade but this is great for general crafting use.

22nd July 2020 Reviewed by Katharine York Feels comfortable in the hand so far, though I haven't yet put it to the test in a prolonged cutting project. The blade comes to a sharp point which will be useful, but I'm adjusting to it having previously been using a scalpel blade with a different profile.

29th June 2020 Reviewed by Eoghan Power Feels very high quality, the weight of the ** adds to this. Knurled grip near the blade helps to keep it easy to hold and use. The blade can pop out surprisingly easy when changing blades but is otherwise nice and stable when in use. Comes with a nice lid to protect it when not in use too.
