The ‘Sky Arts Artist of the Year’ series films artists as they paint live, competing to win a £10,000 commission and to be crowned Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year. The runners up also receive materials from Cass Art.
Professional and amateur artists alike take to their easels to capture celebrity sitters in just four hours. Working with Winsor & Newton, Cass Art has supported the show since the first series in 2013.

Calling all artists - amateur or professional, aged 16 or over! Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year opens for entries at 12pm (midday) on Wednesday 4th October 2023 and closes at 12pm (midday) on Monday 5th February 2024.
